Nothing says St. Patrick’s Day like a Brennan writing about a Keegan – John Brennan and Keegan landfill, that is.
Here was my story in The Record today on Kearny’s sentiments about being host to the landfill and what might happen – and today, it happened.
That is, the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority board voted to begin the condemnation of the 100-acre landfill via eminent domain – even though town officials voted last month to end the lease agreement when it expires on June 30.
Now, it will stay open indefinitel – if not permanently, unless Kearny can prevail in court.
